NFC-URL Howto
This is how it works:

From activating the NFC-URL to tracking the number of scans

1
  • Your thoughts

Before you start setting up your NFC-URL, you should think about what you want to present to your customers and how this content will be structured. We will then provide the foundation to realize your vision.

2
  • Activate NFC-URL

You can conveniently order your NFC-URL and matching NFC tags from us. Contact us, we will be happy to consult you! You already know what you want and don't need any contact for now? Here you can order your NFC-URL directly in our shop.

Once you have received your individual NFC-URL, you can easily activate it and set it up. Follow the instructions that appear when you open your NFC-URL for the first time and register in the web portal.

3
  • Set up in the web portal

Now you can easily set up your redirection. Select the type of forwarding, define the target URL and design your redirection web page (landing page) as it suits you best. All settings and stored URLs can be easily changed at a later time - all changes are immediately visible with the next scan.

You are uncertain which type of redirection fits best? In our overview, the four options are described in more detail:

    Automatic redirection:

Automatically redirects to the target URL after the scan. This option is particularly suitable for situations where only one type of content (e.g. a web page or a PDF) needs to be made easily accessible.

    Redirect after user confirm:

If you want to let your customers choose whether they want to visit your target URL or not, select the redirect with a confirmation button. Here you can color the redirect web page according to your wishes and provide an explanatory text.

    Redirect after countdown:

The same applies to the third option, forwarding after a countdown. The user is time to decide whether he wants the redirection or not.

    Landingpage with link-tiles:

The fourth way of redirecting is particularly useful if you want to present your customers with several pieces of content in one place. You create a digital signpost that takes your customers to the place they are looking for in an uncomplicated way.

  • Choose, encode and attach tags

Now you are almost there! Your NFC-URL is set up, target URLs are embedded, the only thing missing is the possibility to be scanned. In our NFC-Tag-Shop you can buy a variety of different NFC tags or have them customized, whether stickers, buttons, cardboard stand-up, or cards - get inspired!  Once selected, we can encode your products with your NFC-URL, so they are ready to use.

In addition to scanning via NFC, you can also have your NFC-URL accessed via a QR code. Even though we are enthusiastic about NFC and use it in all kinds of situations - we are also aware that NFC tags are not always the optimal solution. For example, if you want to print a large amount of flyers and place your NFC-URL on it, the QR code would be a better and more environmentally friendly solution in this case.

5
  • Scanning

Once you've applied your NFC tags and QR codes, it's time to present them to your customers. Simply let them scan and look into the satisfied faces of your visitors - without tedious, slow typing of URLs and too much paper, which has to be reprinted all the time.

6
  • Tracking the scans

After a few weeks (or even after a few days if you're as curious as we are when it comes to new technologies), you can check the web portal to see how often your NFC-URL has been scanned. This allows you to see, for example, how your product is being received or how much interest was shown at a given time.

7
  • Adjust your content and settings

The target URL needs to be changed, you want to select a different type of redirection, you are unhappy with the color choice of the landing page, or you want to show a new tile depending on the season? No problem - just change it in the web portal and with the next scan your customer will directly see the adjusted NFC-URL.
